Fermented and aged for 10 months in a mix of 350-litre and 1,500-litre barrels, this is a hugely characterful, bold and fruit-driven Meunier that combines fragrant apricot, blackberry and cinnamon-spiced apple with floral tones and impressive presence of fruit. There’s a striking sense of generosity, even with zero dosage. Will surely unfold further with time. Pinot Meunier from Vandières, in the Vallé de la Marne, in 2019.
