Frost in 2019 meant this top young natural-orientated estate in Oger combined two Chardonnay plots – Chemin de Chalons and Auge – in Le Mesnil to produce this firm, stony and compressed blanc de blancs marrying dried apple, roasted apricots and pear juice with a briny, faintly woody presence that speaks more of stature than tension or linearity. 2019's natural energy shines, though, in another of Domaine Vincey's finest releases to date, pitching the oak and sulphite-free openness successfully against the potency of the fruit.
