Its name inspired by Rabelesain word play it seems and a (part) anagram of the varietal Fromonteau, as Pinot Gris is known in the Aube vineyards. Literally it inspires the desire to have too much, or some such. Moreish. Anyway, the 20 months in Sauternes barrels have bequeathed a golden hue and rich, white chocolate aromatics. Then Mirabelle plum and nougat, which carries us delightfully to the palate, recalling Jura as much as it does Pinot Gris from Alsace. Organically farmed. A little oily, yes, hints of wild honey and acidity in check. Subtly different; try with poulet de bresse!
