A perfect example of a wine which is bursting with Le Mesnil brightness, tension and structure but remains ripe, fragrant and accessible. Paul Girard blends plots of different characters across the village, fermenting in barrel and blending with foudre-aged reserves to find a meeting point of precision and richness. Juicy nectarine and apricot speaks of the ultra-sunny 2022 base vintage, with a lift of sweet roasted-nut oak and iodine freshness which doesn't overpower the fruit. With reserve wines back to 2018, there's some dried fruit and ginger-like complexity lurking, as the wine drives long and refreshing with a sleek, pure and racy build.
