One of Cramant's top growers has an innovative approach to entry level, using the tailles – the later pressings – of Chardonnay to add some fruitiness and charm to their otherwise laser-bright style, and allowing malolactic fermentation to soften the palate a little. The result is a rounded, bright and approachable blanc de blancs led by pear and grapefruit, lemon icing and a streak of bold bitter almond. Immediate, front-loaded in flavour and straightforward.
