Godmé's wines are some of the finest independent examples of the northern Montagne. Hugely persistent, taut fruit here, with poached apricots, yellow apple and honey, after an opening of camomile and spice. Lightly creamy, but pulled into a dramatic, almost austere finish by the briny, mineral Chardonnay. 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay from the north-facing villages of Verzy and Verzenay. Based on the 2014 vintage, comprising 70%-80% reserve wine.
