The Huré brothers have produced a rarity – a truly exciting 2018 – from the slopes of Ludes on the Montagne de Reims, where Meunier shares some of the slopes with Pinot Noir. There's power here, in dried apple, maple and smoke, but juicy blackberry and taut, moreish acidity too; it's a three-dimensional wine that treads a beautiful line bewteen aromatic complexity and constant, refreshing energy.
