For 20 years, Jean Philippe Moulin has been quietly producing some of the most famous wines on the planet. Using the same source of grapes and techniques behind world-famous labels, he is producing a line-up of top-drawer Champagne. Simon Field MW: Lively mousse, attractive nose of gingerbread, plum, apricot and lavender. Very composed nearly a decade on, poised and complete; a lively peach kernel/flintstone finish. Alan Bednarski: Smoked fruits with some fresh-crushed nuts and lemon tart, all with additional dried lime peel, still incredibly fresh and balanced with great acidity on the finish. Tim Hall: A cream and redcurrant wafty note, even before the palate. Plenty of texture and weight and a suave finesse of perfume, and seemingly airborne balance. Good indeed.
