A mature, polished style here from an under-the-radar estate and an under-the-rader village – Oiry, the least-known grand cru of the Côte des Blancs. Buttery lemon tart and grapefruit peel ride a smooth, enveloping mousse with a delicious degree of toasty nut complexity coming through. The openness of 2018 is evident, but this is grounded with a proper chalky-mineral length.
