<p>From the oldest and most venerable climats within the Clos des Goisses, the Grands and Petits Cintres cover 0.84ha and are made up of 70-year-old Pinot Noir vines. With only 2,500 bottles made, Les Cintres (the name refers to the arches adorning the famous brick walls within the Clos) can be seen as the elixir at the heart of the Clos des Goisses, an ineffably sublime expression of pure Pinot. Its relatively youthful manifestation is an encyclopaedic feast of flowers, fruit, spices and herb. Liquorice once again heads the list of descriptors, with fennel, blackberry and plum not far behind. A poised, crystalline finish underlines its construction and shape - the shape of things to come.</p>
