A slightly darker, fruit-laden Rare Rosé than in 2012 or 2008, thanks to the 18% red wine addition from Les Riceys. There's a tender, juicy cherry, Victoria plum and strawberry tart fragrance here, detailed with touches of smoke, toasted almond and char. The clementine zest of the Chardonnay is quietly lifting and brightening the palate, which shows plenty of approachability already at this young stage. Less reductive than the previous editions, the red fruit character could develop with some spicy intrigue, although its fleshy fruitiness is hard to resist now. Disgorged in March 2023 with 9g/L dosage.
