Made by macerating Vertus Pinot Noir from the 2019 vintage on its skins for 28 hours, this is a saignée tuned toward brightness and vibrancy rather than vinosity, with cherry, redcurrant and crunchy crab apple fruit, lively with a touch of fruit seed grip and stopping short of over-extraction or toughness – despite the style the footwork is still delicate and flowing. Immediate pleasure.
