Rich, exotic aromas of pineapple, ripe tropical fruit, citrus and a whisper of rum unfold with real intensity – the kind of profile that's almost a signature of this corner of the southwest, here turned up to full volume. The palate is mouth-filling and unctuous, bordering on opulent, but reined in by a tingling, nervy acidity through the mid-palate and finish that keeps everything vivid and alive. A wine that vibrates with tropical energy despite its Pyrenean roots – a Tiki party in a glass, and utterly delicious.
