A lovely savoury nose of black olives and garrigue herbs with red cherry and blackcurrant on the palate. This is juicy but it's also very floral with quite a dominance of violet on the palate which is seriously enjoyable. This feels a little more refined and elegant than some others in the tasting with clean and precise fruit and sense of restraint. It has all the elements of a top St Chinian with signature ripe, intense and concentrated fruits, liquorice elements giving a spice kick around the edges and then soft, subtle fragranced notes at the end. I love it - a real standout and will no doubt age well.
