Charmingly open and sweet fruited, this Faugères is perfumed and ever so floral. It's quite unique and different in this sense, perhaps coming from the portion of Cinsault in the blend, bringing imagery of purple flowers and soft petals. Notes like lavender, violets and pot pourri, with plentiful ripe cherry fruit too. There's a lightness and delicacy alongside the warmth and depth of fruit, with good acidity and fine tannins. All it lacks is that touch more complexity to gain a higher score, but really it's a delicious glass of wine. Old Carignan vines, more than 90 years old. Fermented and aged in concrete tanks.
