The Sommelière differs from Les Galets in that it has a higher percentage of Syrah (65%), balanced by 30% Grenache and just 5% Mourvèdre. It's also aged in cement rather than stainless steel (but still sees no wood). Sweet, warm scents of ripe, autumnal berries preface a full-bodied, fleshy, sensual and attractive wine with generosity as well as depth and poise. Some brisk, firm tannins bring balance.
