Spicy, sparky, mature Grenache berry fruits. This has ripeness, concentration and intensity. It’s a massive wine, absolutely huge, with very high alcohol, but there’s also enormous length, great thundering power. An extraordinary wine in its own way, but tastes really like a dry port, and would require some char-grilled beef to help to bring it to heel. Hard to score, as it's not a typical dry wine due to its alcohol content. Will no doubt prove a divisive wine, but those that like it will love it. Maury terroir, black and brown schist, 100-year-old vines.
