A standout in Co-op's Irresistible own-label range, this Viognier offers fantastic value. It's produced in the Languedoc by Domaines Paul Mas, who excels at making keenly priced and approachable wines for the high street, with good varietal typicity. This spent three months in a mix of stainless steel and oak for three months, but the oak isn't noticeable – it just gives the wine a little more depth. It doesn't dull the fruit character at all; this is a straightforward but lively glass of leafy, peach flavours, a good example of a simple Viognier.
