Richly fruited, this smells like chocolate and fruit cake, prunes, black tea, raisins and cool blue fruit, with some cooked blueberries, too. The structure is very smooth and silky, the tannins so fine like velvet. Still, there's some structure. The fruit is so ripe, jammy and pruney, perfumed with purple flowers and violets. There's nice cool mineral freshness somewhere, and fairly good acidity. Fermented and aged in tank, with no oak used.
