Sweet red cherries, blackcurrants and menthol elements emerge from the nose following on the palate with chewy and generous ripe fruit flavours. Tannins are grippy but not overly dominant, letting the fruit and minty eucalyptus drive the taste through to the long finish. A fresh and cooling style - serious but harmonious and enjoyable. Manual harvest with each plot vinified separately in vats and then placed in 300L oak barrels for 12 months aging. A blend of 30-year-old Syrah (70%), 13-year-old Grenache (20%) and 48-year-old Cinsault (10%). Available for around 20 euros.
