The percentage of Chardonnay in the 2014 vintage is higher still than for its younger peers, at 60%, with 20% Viognier, 15% Sauvignon Gris and just 5% Petit Manseng. This wine shows how well this cuvée ages (I thoroughly enjoyed the 2013 on the summit of Pic St-Loup last summer).

The tropical fruits, honey and cream are now gathering aromatic force as well as harmony. It has purity, thickness, a saline note, and vivid apple, mango and pineapple acidity, all artfully disposed.
