Showing a dense, dark, almost black colour in the glass, this 100% Carignan is then exuberantly fruity on the nose, with notes of crushed blueberries and blackberries. It’s quite light on the palate, however, even though it’s fruity, with subtle but quite fibrous tannins. A wine that is fresh and vibrant, but with depth and resonance too. Such a drinkable, smashable wine that also shows a serious side. Carbonic maceration. From 144-year-old vines.
