A powerful and intense nose, brooding and rich to match the dark violet colour in the glass. The palate is smooth and sumptuous, velvety smooth but with vibrant, almost spritzy, sherbert fruit flavours. Fizzy cherries, blackcurrants and blueberries popping on the tongue. Tannins are well integrated allowing the fruit to shine. Tasty and easy drinking if not overly complex. Average age of vines between 25-35 years. Available for around 13 euros.
