This wine has such a great price to quality ratio. Think about it: you're drinking wine made from Roussanne and Grenache Blanc vines that are 100 years old, you've got all that lovely concentration and palate depth that comes from that, the floral lift, the pure stone fruit, the deep rumbling mineral tension, and yet you're paying under £20 a bottle! It's a steal. It has seen some new oak, and you can feel that in its width and in some light vanilla notes. You could leave this for a year and that will have integrated fully, but this will also age for another five to seven years and taken on much interest.
