I'm loving the image of rugged wild scrubland that this wine evokes, with its notes of thyme and dry soil. There are game and smoked meat characters too, and blackberry and bramble. There's a surprising tiny spritz on the palate, then very pure blackberry fruit. It feels squishy, with fine cotton tannins. There's good intensity, I love the wildness here. From schist soils in the mountainous inland part of the appellation. Grapes were destemmed. No added sulphur.
