Bright aromas of plum and cherry are joined by delicate floral notes in this expressive and engaging red. Remarkably, it's mostly made from 75-year-old Cinsault, which is co-planted with the native Languedoc variety Œillade, plus 20% of Grenache. There is a gentle grip to the tannins and a touch of pleasant bitterness that brings structure and savoury complexity. A hint of reduction adds intrigue rather than distraction, while the fruit remains vibrant and energetic. Characterful old-vine fruit with plenty of personality. It's a wine to get really geeky about, but also one that's super easy to enjoy with tapas and friends.
