Intense and enticing aromas of coffee and smoke pique your interest, then heaps of blackberries tumble forward onto the ripe palate. Indigenous yeast fermentation, followed by 18 months of ageing in third, fourth, and fifth-use oak, which has given a rounded texture as well as some spice. It's elegant, flashy and mouthfilling, finishing on dried currants and freshly picked blackberries. Clay-limestone soil at 300m altitude.
