A charming tribute to a near-forgotten local southern variety, Lledoner Pelut, which makes up 80% of the blend and comes from 90-year-old vines, alongside Mourvèdre and Carignan. This leans into a more red-fruited profile, soft and plush in the mouth, with a delicacy that seems ingrained into the wine. Despite this delicate quality, the fruit is concentrated, the wine is full and weighty in the mouth and the tannins are massy and present, a little brusque even. Although there's no wood used for this wine, there's a distinct darker smoky character, coming presumably from the character of the variety. From the coastal part of the appellation.
