Bold and jammy on the nose, showing some evolution in it's dried cranberry and mushroom notes. There's complexity in its vanilla, dried thyme and grilled meat characters, but the palate is thick, rich and dense, making for quite the head spin. It's intensely spicy, with an iodine finish. The tannins are smooth and sensual. It's a style with lots of everything, boldness and oak and fruit, no shrinking violet.
