Reflecting its proximity to the northern Rhône, this is a seriously complex, oak-aged Viognier. Fresh, leafy, herbal and floral, with a touch of oak on the nose. The palate opens out to a rich and creamy structure, with a hint of oak which is beautifully integrated and plays nicely with tropical fruit and bitter orange marmalade notes. It displays a salted lemon edginess, long, lean minerality and an elegant length. Not a big, aromatic or fat wine, instead lovely, discrete power and length.
