A beautiful deep violet-red rim here, the nose an appealing combination of violets and red cherries. Softly gripping tannins make their presence known straight away with spiced cherry flavours coming through strongly. It's not as soft in texture as it could be, but it's got a very direct, precise and confident flavour that lasts and lasts. It may just need a little time to soften. Made from 100% Merlot, the favourite grape of Stéphanie - one half of the husband and wife winemaking team with Olivier.
