Aromas of pure strawberry, pomegranate and ripe raspberry lead on to a fleshy and round palate. There’s good weight and intensity here, and more tannin and depth than this domaine’s other dry reds, showing good length and resonance. This will certainly be interesting in time. Fermented with natural yeast, no sulphites added before bottling. Made from 60% Grenache planted in 1914 on limestone schist; 30% Carignan planted in 1952; and 10% Syrah planted in 2000. Matured for one year in foudres.
