A vibrant and expressive nose with fully plump and plush fruit on the palate. Tannins are present and softly grippy underpinned by spicy liquorice and menthol tones that give backbone and structure. Dark chocolate, mocha and tobacco also. This wine is only made in exceptional years by winemaker Brice Bautou who selects from the finest barrels in his cellar and makes an exclusive blend, this is Grenache 45%, Mourvèdre 35%, Carignan 10%, Syrah 5% and Cinsault 5%. Certified organic since 2012. Available for around 18 euros.
