Dark and inky, the aromas here have a touch of iron, which then expand out into fresh fruit. The palate has that same dark, earthy tone. Fresh acidity links everything together, as the silky tannins aren't gippy at all, and the body is full and smooth. Those darker, mineral tones are potted with tiny black fruit, mulberries and blackberries, and the finish has a sinewy sensation of plum skin.
