A very attractive, perfumed and floral nose. The palate is fine-fruited, very ripe but juicy, with lightly grainy tannins and a refreshing salinity. This comes from a fast-maturing site with a stony upper layer and clay beneath, giving a richer, fuller-bodied style. A high proportion of whole bunches is used during the fermentation, which is long and natural – with no additions or corrections – and followed by long ageing in older, large-format oak. A wine full of vigour and character.
