It was the efforts of the late Claude Lafond that saved the Reuilly appellation from extinction in the late 1980s. These included building a communal winery to allow the sharing of facilities. The 40-hectare domaine now has its own modern winery. Nathalie Lafond, Claude's daughter, runs the estate with the same passion and verve as her father. The youthful 2020 has ripe, vibrant fruit and good length with racy acidity, which is likely to soften a little with time in bottle. Serve as an aperitif or with seafood.
