Another success from a lesser vintage. Florent Baumard describes 1992 almost as bad a vintage as the rain-soaked 2012. A dark orange colour is not out of place given its 30 years of age, with dried fruit notes and a whiff of honey emerging from the glass. Though less vibrant than some, the acidity balances its honeyed apricot character. Nothing cloying about this one! Caramel notes emerge and predominate, yet this decadent wine does not come across as heavy.
