From the ripe 2018 vintage, this shows gentle butter and lemon notes, a hint of pineapple, fennel and hazelnut complexity. The palate has a tight, mineral, chalky structure and a focused acidity that runs the length of the palate. Pure class. Antoine and Caroline Foucault created this domaine in 1999. Born and raised at the famed Clos Rougeard, Antoine follows the tried and tested techniques of his late winemaker father, Charly, to create stunning wines from vines that grow on the hill of Brézé. The wines age for years before release in cellars 18m below the winery.
