The 16ha Domaine du Petit Coteau is based in Vernou-sur-Brenne and is part of the Vignobles Feray, who own four domaines in Vouvray including Château Montcontour plus one in the Cheverny appellation. Unlike the Coteaux du Layon in Anjou, where it's possible to make sweet wines almost every year, it is only possible in Vouvray to make them in very good vintages. 

The vines for this rich wine are 50 years old, picked by hand with a low yield of 15hl/ha in 2011. With 145g/l of residual sugar, this has a deliciously opulent texture with notes of orange and dried apricot. It's very well balanced and very long. A lovely bottle!
