A fine balance between power and finesse, this is a rich wine with plenty of concentration yet also marked by the mineral edge and plentiful acidity which will enable this Monts Damnés to age for many years. Hand harvested, with maturation in tank and extended ageing on fine lees. A substantial estate stretching over 150ha in the upper Loire, including 45ha of Sauvignon Blanc, Brochard is now run by the fifth and sixth generation. The estate is a stone's throw from the Monts Damnés.
