This stylish and interesting wine has a complex nose of beeswax and flowers with a touch of mineral earthiness. The gentle fruitiness on the palate builds to a powerful finale. The fruit is juicy, mouthfilling and generous, savoury and mineral. The long finish has attractive, slightly burnt, toasty notes. The grapes come from 35-year-old vines that grow on the steep, stony hillsides around the village of Chavignol. Vinification takes place in barrels, amphorae and stainless steel.
