Clos le Grand Beaupréau Savennières is another impressive wine from Domaine Ogereau. Currently the aromas are a little closed, but there are enticing honeyed notes with a rich opulent texture. A seamlessly balanced, beautiful wine with a long finish and zesty acidity showing great ageing potential where it will surely gain further complexity. The Clos le Grand Beaupréau is at the highest point of the Savennières appellation. The vines are planted on a mix of schist and sand with the grapes harvested by hand. The yield in 2021 was just 15hl/ha due to the April frosts. Fermentation was in a mix of 400-litre barrels and 2000-litre wooden vats using native yeasts, before maturing  for 18 months in barrel.
