<p>As the name suggests, this is from silex soil, which typically produces powerful wines. While light in body, this young wine is focused and compact with a lick-your-lips chewiness. It&#39;s aromatically restrained with a delicate floral character, and eight months on lees provides additional texture. It pulls up a little bit short on the finish but is a well-priced Sancerre.</p>
