Founded in 1999, Vincent Careme’s Vouvray domaine is definitely one to watch in the increasingly fashionable Loire Valley. Careme makes the full gamut of wines from sparkling to still, dry, demi-sec and molleux. This is his ‘Pet-Nat‘ sparkling wine, as they say in the US. Made from Chenin Blanc, it’s spicy, toasty and light-bodied but with a citric charge and dry, savoury depth with a deliciously bitter, botanical finish.
