A relatively light-bodied, fine and precise style of Côte-Rôtie, with a mineral sheen on the finish. Tannins are fine, crystalline, cleansing. Sandy minerality. Very upright style. Great energy on the palate, but it still needs time for the aromatics to unfurl – should be very impressive when they do, but you must wait until 2029 at least. Outrageously open, spicy and complex the day after it was opened. East-facing, 30-year-old vines on average, planted on schist, partly destemmed, 50% new oak.
