Strong blackcurrant aromas spring out of the glass, they follow through to the palate. Some garrigue herbs too with time. The alcohol however does feel high. Enjoyably straight-edged in terms of its sandstone-textured tannins, and it finishes with persistent black berry fruits. This needs some time for the tannins to soften however, as it's really quite robustly textured. Good sense of freshness suggests it will age well. From old vineyards situated at 350m above sea level.
