The oak is to the fore for now, it's burying the fruit somewhat, so give this a year. Aromatically speaking, this isn't overtly toasty, it's more about the dense, ripe blackberry fruit. The acidity is a touch low, but this has good juicy fruit and pliable tannins. An impressive wine for the price. Aged for nine months in French oak barrels.
