<p>This is full-bodied, but not gloopy with well-balanced acidity comprising flavours of aniseed, fennel, pear and a lifted floral aromatic back note - jasmine. A little pithy bitterness brings structure and it has a good length and freshness. The oak is quite present from the six months in new barrels on the nose and palate, but it works well this year, not hogging the limelight too much from the rich fruits. From grapes grown on sandy clay slopes, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in new barrels.</p>
