Some appealing blackberry and forest berry aromas aromatically with good roundness and shape on the palate, matched with quite strident acidity. It has a grainy, textural tannic finish, providing some extra length. The alcohol is on the high side, but not overly warm. 10,000 bottles produced.

Gérald Lafont is a consultant winemaker and also makes some of his own wine. From 40 and 50-year-old vines, farmed biodynamically since 2001, but yet to be certified. Hand-harvested, destemmed, fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts, then 30% is moved into demi-muids for 18 months before blending, bottled unfiltered and unfined.
