This has depth and darkness of fruit on the nose, it's intense. Full-bodied and lush in fruit, it’s a generous, classic style of Gigondas with finesse and concentration. The alcohol is a touch raised (which is not unusual for the 2019 vintage) but the quality is clearly very good. Grown on sandy clay soils with limestone pebbles towards the Ouvèze river. Grenache aged in amphorae, Syrah in 450-litre oak barrels for 18 months.
